About the Game

Yarn Mini Golf is an original top-down mini golf game from Kiwi Cat Games. Press anywhere on the screen and pull back to see an arrow for direction and a power bar, then let go and the yarn ball rolls off and gradually slows down. It bounces off the wooden walls, and rolling it into the cat-bed hole with the pink flag counts as holed.

There are 12 holes: Straight Shot, The Bend, Bumpers, Sand Trap, Little Bridge, Zigzag, U-Turn, Pinball, Island Green and more, ending with Kiwi Cat's Big Challenge. Pink bumpers bounce the ball away, sand stops it quickly, and landing in water sends you back to your last spot with a 1-stroke penalty. If the ball rolls too fast, it skips right over the hole, so the power has to be just right.

Every hole has a par. Sink the ball at or under par for 3 stars, or one over par for 2. The computer has test-putted every hole to make sure it can be holed. All courses, art and sound were drawn and synthesized in code by Kiwi Cat Games, and your progress is saved in your browser.

How to Play Yarn Mini Golf

Press Start Game, then choose Continue or pick a hole.
Press anywhere on the screen and pull back, away from where you want to putt. The arrow and power bar show direction and strength.
Let go to putt. The yarn ball bounces off walls, gets knocked away by pink bumpers and stops quickly in sand.
Land in water and you go back to your last spot with a 1-stroke penalty. Too much speed and the ball skips over the hole.
Sink the ball in the flagged hole to finish. Do it at or under par for 3 stars.

Controls

Phone and tablet

Press and pull back with your finger, then let go to putt – like a slingshot.
Top left goes back to hole select; top right pauses or mutes.

Computer

Click, pull back and release to putt.
Keyboard works too: left and right arrows aim, up and down adjust power, Space or Enter putts.

Tips and Strategy

You don't need full power every time. Near the hole, a gentle tap keeps the ball from rolling over it.
When a wall is in the way, try banking off it – it's often faster than going around.
Bumpers speed the ball up, so ease off the power when using them.
Play it safe near water. A splash costs a stroke and you have to putt again from the same spot.

Is my progress saved?

Yes. The holes you've played, your stars and your best stroke counts are saved in your own browser – no login needed. Clearing browser data, using private browsing or switching devices resets them.
