Privacy Policy

Kiwi Cat Games (“the Site”) is run by an individual. This policy explains what data the Site collects, how it's used and how you can control it. By using the Site, you agree to this policy.

1. No sign-up required

The Site has no user accounts and never asks for personal information such as your name or phone number.

2. Data stored in your browser

To remember high scores, game progress and sound settings, the games use your browser's localStorage to store data on your own device. This data is never sent to our servers, and clearing your browser data deletes it.

3. Analytics

The Site uses Google Analytics 4, an analytics service provided by Google, to understand how many people visit, which games they play and for how long, so we can improve the Site and the games.

  • Data collected: pages viewed, the site you came from, device and browser type, approximate location (city level), and game events (for example, starting a game, clearing a level, game over and scores).
  • Google Analytics uses cookies to recognize repeat visits from the same browser, but it doesn't tell us who you are, and we don't link this data with personal information such as names or email addresses.
  • In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, Google Analytics doesn't use cookies until you give consent (see “Cookie consent” below).
  • You can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or block cookies in your browser settings to avoid being measured.

4. Advertising

In the future, the Site will use third-party advertising services such as Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this site or other websites.

  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendors' cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.

5. Cookie consent

If you visit the Site from the European Economic Area (EU countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway), the UK or Switzerland, we first ask whether you agree to the use of cookies for analytics and advertising, using Google's consent message (a Google-certified consent management platform).

  • Until you consent, Google Analytics and advertising services don't store cookies in your browser or use your data for personalized ads. Google Analytics only receives basic cookieless signals (for example, that a page was opened) to estimate overall traffic.
  • You can agree to some purposes only, or decline everything. Declining doesn't affect playing the games.
  • To change your choice later, use the privacy and cookie settings button in the corner of the page (provided by Google's consent message and shown only in those regions).

If you visit from a US state with privacy laws (such as California), Google's message offers a “Do not sell or share my personal information” option. Once you opt out, advertising services stop using your data from this site to show you personalized ads.

For visitors from other regions, the Site uses Google Analytics and advertising cookies as described in sections 3 and 4. You can still turn them off with the add-on, Google Ads Settings or your browser settings mentioned above.

The high scores, progress and sound settings stored by the games (section 2) are essential for the games to work, stay only on your device and don't require separate consent.

6. Children's privacy

The Site is mainly intended for users aged 13 and over, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the Site's features change, and any updates will be posted on this page. If this English version differs from the Traditional Chinese version, the Traditional Chinese version prevails.
