About the Game

Kiwi Cat Solitaire is classic Klondike solitaire with original artwork from Kiwi Cat Games. There are 7 piles on the table, each with its top card face up. You can place a card on one that's one rank higher and the opposite color (a red 7 on a black 8, for example) and move whole runs at once; only a King can go in an empty spot. Build the 4 foundations at the top by suit from Ace to King – move all 52 cards up and you win.

Controls are simple: tap a card and it jumps to the best available spot (foundations first), or drag it wherever you want. Tap the stock pile at the top left to draw; when it runs out, it starts over. Once every card is face up, the game finishes for you automatically. Choose draw 1 (easier) or draw 3 (more of a challenge).

Before every deal is handed to you, the computer plays it through using hints to make sure it can be won, so you'll never get an impossible game. Stuck? Press Hint. Made a mistake? Undo as many times as you like. The Jacks, Queens and Kings show Kiwi Cat in a hat, a bow and a crown, and the card back is a kiwi slice – all drawn in code by Kiwi Cat Games.

How to Play Kiwi Cat Solitaire

1. Press Start Game and choose draw 1 or draw 3.
2. On the table, place a card on one that's one rank higher and the opposite color. Only a King can fill an empty spot.
3. Build the foundations at the top by suit from Ace to King. Tap a card to auto-move it to the best spot, or drag it.
4. When you have no moves, tap the stock pile at the top left to draw new cards.
5. Move all 52 cards to the foundations to win. Once every card is face up, the rest are collected automatically.

Controls

Phone and tablet

• Tap a card to auto-move it, or press and drag it where you want. Tap the stock to draw.
• Undo, Hint and New Game are at the bottom. Top left goes back to the menu; top right pauses or mutes.

Computer

• Click or drag cards with the mouse, and click the stock to draw.
• Keyboard: Space draws from the stock, H shows a hint, Enter plays the hinted move, U or Z undoes.

Tips and Strategy

• Focus on uncovering face-down cards on the table, especially in the pile with the most hidden cards.
• Move Aces and 2s to the foundations as soon as they appear – it never hurts.
• Don't fill empty spots too early. Save them for a King with lots of cards stacked under it.
• You can drag a card back down from a foundation to the table when you need it to build on.
