About the Game

Kiwi Cat Tidy Tray is an original matching puzzle from Kiwi Cat Games. Cat-item tiles are stacked in layers on the table – fish, yarn balls, bells, toy mice, tuna cans, boxes and more, 15 kinds in all. Only the bright tiles with nothing on top of them can be tapped. Tap one and it flies into the tray below, where identical items line up together automatically. Collect 3 of a kind and they're tidied away.

The tray has only 7 slots. If it fills up before you can make a set of 3, you lose, so think about every move: take tiles that match what's already in the tray, or clear the tiles on top so the ones underneath are uncovered. Levels never run out, and later ones have more tiles, taller stacks and more kinds of items. Every level is built around an order that's guaranteed to clear the table, so it can always be solved.

Each level gives you three tools, one use each: Move Out sets the first 3 tray items aside, Undo puts your last tile back on the table, and Shuffle mixes up the pictures on the table. Clear a level without tools for 3 stars. All art and sound were drawn and synthesized in code by Kiwi Cat Games, and your progress is saved in your browser.

How to Play Kiwi Cat Tidy Tray

1. Press Start Game, then choose Continue to play your current level or pick any unlocked level from the list.
2. Tap a bright tile on the table (one with nothing on top) and it flies into the tray below.
3. Get 3 of the same item in the tray and they're tidied away.
4. The tray has only 7 slots – if it fills up without a set of 3, you lose. Use Move Out, Undo or Shuffle when you need them (once each per level).
5. Clear every tile on the table to win. Do it without tools for 3 stars.

Controls

Phone and tablet

• Tap a bright tile to move it into the tray. Dim tiles are covered and can't be tapped yet.
• The three buttons at the bottom are tools. Top left goes back to the level list; top right pauses or mutes.

Computer

• Click a bright tile with the mouse.
• You can also play with just the keyboard: arrow keys or Tab move between tappable tiles, Enter or Space moves one into the tray, and 1, 2, 3 use Move Out, Undo and Shuffle.

Tips and Strategy

• Take tiles that match the 1 or 2 items already in the tray first. Completing a set frees up slots.
• Don't hold too many different items in the tray at once. More than 3 kinds is risky.
• Remove tiles that cover others first. Clearing the top layer lights up the tiles underneath and gives you more choices.
• When the tray is nearly full, use Move Out to set 3 items aside, then tap them back once you've found their matches.
